Fitness Levels


Fitness Level 1

For reference only – all of our trips require a higher level of fitness

Little or no ascent or descent and modest distance


Fitness Level 2

Moderate fitness, ability to walk half or full days in the mountains

Ascents and descents of up to 600m


Fitness Level 3

Good fitness, ability to comfortably tackle consecutive days of trekking in the mountains

600-1,000m ascents and descents


Fitness Level 4

Strong fitness to tackle consecutive longer days in the mountains

1,000-1,500m ascents and descents


Fitness Level 5

Very high level of fitness and ability to cover ground efficiently

1,500-2,000+m ascents and descents
