News on travel to France for our Mont Blanc trips.
The French border is ‘closed’ to non-essential travel until June 15th.
News on the opening of mountain huts on Mont Blanc
The huts are ready to open from the 2nd of June onwards with 80 to 85% of places available to promote social distancing of the security teams, according to this latest article from Le Dauphine. For small isolated shelters, with a fragile model, reopening is not guaranteed. Some shelters (not all) will operate at reduced capacity. In the Mont-Blanc massif, according to the French Federation of Alpine and Mountain Clubs (FFCAM), all large buildings, such as Argentière, Albert 1er, Cosmiques, or Le Goûter and Tête Rousse on the way to the roof of the Alps, are ready to open with 80 to 85% of places available to promote social distancing.
We are aware that the situation is constantly changing so we will update the above terms when necessary. Our aim throughout this crisis is to be transparent with all of our customers and offer our help and advice wherever possible. Our focus is on the safety and wellbeing of all of our customers and our staff during this time.
