What You Need to Know About Equipment Rental in Chamonix

  • For Chamonix-based trips, we provide rental options for all required mountaineering gear, except boots and poles.
  • You can rent boots from our trusted partner: Concept Pro Shop Chamonix.
  • You can either:
    • Rent kit directly from us via our Equipment Rental Request Form below,
    • Or rent kit directly from Concept Pro Shop Chamonix (or do a mix of both).
  • Please note that we do not rent gear for trekking trips.
  • Equipment can be purchased locally in Chamonix (Snell Sports, Ravanel, Intersport, etc.).

Collecting Your Rental Equipment

  • If you’re renting equipment through us, you’ll receive it directly from your guide when you meet them at the start of your trip.
  • If you are renting anything independently in Chamonix, please do so before your guide briefing (which is usually in the evening before the day your trip starts).

Boot Rental with Concept Pro Shop

  • Clients renting boots should do so independently via Concept Pro Shop Chamonix. They are knowledgeable and know which boots you need for your trip.
  • You can reserve them online in advance. Payment is made when returning the boots.
  • A 10% discount is available for Adventure Base clients — just mention your booking with us.

Trekking Poles

  • Poles must be purchased. Affordable options are available at Decathlon (~€8), or you can buy from local shops like Snell Sports, Intersport, or Ravanel.
