Day 1:

Arrival Day in Innsbruck

We highly recommend planning your inbound travel so that you arrive in Innsbruck by early afternoon. This is especially important if you need to rent ski touring equipment from our local rental shop supplier. You’ll need time to collect any rental equipment before the evening briefing, which is essential for a smooth start to your adventure. There is limited time the following morning to rent items as you will be departing for the mountains straight after breakfast.

You will meet with your guide for a briefing in the evening at approximately 18:00 to go through the plan for the week as well as the current weather and mountain conditions. Here you will have a chance to go through your kit under the experienced eye of your guide and can ask any questions that you may have. Dinner will follow and then it's time for a good night sleep!

Day 2:

Ischgl to Heidelberger Hut

Transport to Ischgl (1hr15mins) take the lift system and descend to the Heidelberger hut, which is located just across the border in Switzerland. We will spend the afternoon skiing and doing a basic avalanche safety course to fully prepare everyone for the days ahead before we tuck in for the night after a delicious warm dinner at the hut.

300m ascent, 800m descent (3-5hrs)

Day 3:

Day Tour from Heidelberger Hut

Day tour from the Heidelberger Hut to one of the accessible nearby peaks. Its a great day out and we head back to the same hut so we can pack light for the day.

1000m ascent, 1000m descent (5-6hrs)

Day 4:

Climb Briete Krone (3079m)

Today we say goodbye to the Heidelberger Hut and make our way onwards back across the border to Austria with a climb over the Kronenjoch pass. If conditions are good we will also bag a nearby peak such as Breite Krone (3079m) followed by a descent to the Jamtal Hut for the night.

800m ascent, 900m descent (5-6hrs)

Day 5:

Day Tour from Jamtal Hut

Day tour from the Jamtal Hut to one of the accessible nearby peaks. Here we have plenty of options depending on conditions and the motivation of the group, such as Hintere Jamspitze (3153m) or Gamsspitze (3107m) and return to Jamtal Hut for our second night at this charming hut.

1100m ascent, 1100m descent (6-7hrs)

Day 6:

Jamtal Hut to Wiesbadener Hut

Today's mission is to cross the glacial terrain of the Jamtal glacier and get from Jamtal hut to the Ochsenscharte Col (2913m). From here it's a great ski descent down to the Wiesbadener Hut.

800m ascent, 750m descent (4-5hrs)

Day 7:

Final Descent to Galtur

We ascend the final col of the week up to the Radsattel before descending the beautiful Bieltal valley and eventually on to Galtur for our transfer back to Innsbruck (1.5hrs) in time for celebratory drinks and dinner at the same hotel as the start of the week.

350m ascent, 1200m descent (3-4hrs)

Day 8:

Departure Day

After a well deserved nights' sleep in the cosy hotel, its time for one last breakfast before the trip ends and you make your journey home.
