Loch Lomond
The trail follows the eastern shore of this iconic loch, offering gorgeous views of the water and surrounding peaks. The path here can be rugged and undulating, but it’s well worth it for the secluded coves and enchanting oak woodlands you’ll pass.
The Devil’s Staircase
Don’t let the name intimidate you! This iconic zig-zagging ascent, reaching the trail’s highest point, rewards hikers with breathtaking views of the surrounding Glencoe mountains. It’s a challenging climb, but the panoramas at the top are unforgettable.
Rannoch Moor
This vast, open moorland is one of Scotland’s last remaining wildernesses. It has a unique, haunting beauty with sweeping views, especially in moody or misty weather. Rannoch Moor gives a feeling of remoteness that is hard to find elsewhere.
Ben Nevis
Ending the trail at the foot of the UK’s highest mountain is a fitting finale. Some trekkers even choose to extend their adventure by summiting Ben Nevis. Even from below, the views of this mighty peak make for a memorable end to the journey.
