Introducing Jöttnar

Jöttnar was born in Arctic Norway by two Royal Marine commandos. They make technical clothing for mountain adventures and they’re one of the best in the business.

We’ve teamed up with Jöttnar to help us stay dry, warm and protected in the mountains. Having the right kit is fundamental in unforgiving mountain environments where you can experience a full range of conditions in the space of just a few hours. The founders are lifelong mountaineers, climbers and skiers and that DNA runs deep in the company. They don’t follow fabric trends and they have no need to follow retail trends. They simply design the gear they want to wear.

We know a good thing when we see it and Jöttnar is just that. We trust them to have our backs in the mountains so we recommend them to our clients. For that reason all Adventure Base clients receive a discount of 15% off all their products when you book a trip with us. Get in touch or look out on your confirmation email / web page to find the code.

You can see some of their kit in the gear lists on our trip pages, or you can see their full range here.

About Jöttnar

Quality & Innovation

They’ve pioneered new fabric technology and construction techniques. They strive for the highest quality of manufacture and they apply themselves personally to the small details, because they know how important these are.

Supplying the pros

Their gear is used and trusted by outdoor professionals. Guides, mountain rescue teams, expeditions, specialist military units and professional athletes choose Jöttnar.

Technical Expertise

They use the gear they sell, and no-one knows it better than them. If you have a query, get in touch and they’ll answer openly and in full. You can trust their advice.

Pro Team Tested

Going faster, higher, steeper, harder is what drives their Pro Team athletes. The daily demands they place on their gear in the world’s harshest mountain conditions are reflected in the clothing they make.
